	The deep blue Aegean sea is as clear as it is everywhere around the island of Thassos. One can clearly see the seabed even in deep places and weather permitting it is possible to see the holy mountain of Athos in the peninsula of Chalkidiki. Potos is 35 km from Limenas the capital of Thassos and the same distance from Limena's port. From the capital of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, and its airport is 185 km and from Kavala town and airport 45 km.


	Potos, this wonderful coastal village, has developed into a settlement with permanent residents and a touristic destination in the last few decades. Previously was just a fishing port for the people of Theologos, a traditional inland village a bit further away. Today Potos builds slowly its economy on the tourist industry, however, it still maintains its traditional character. It is the right place for those who want to have peaceful vacation but still enjoy the amenities of a modern touristic destination.
